Streete Warriors Basketball
 

Streete Warriors basketball club is based in north westmeath serving the areas of Mullingar, Granard, Multyfarnham, Rathowen, Streete,  Ballinalack and Mullahoran providing an outlet for the community to play basketball at a competitive level.

Streete Warriors Basketball Club was established in 2006 in what was a new iniaitive at the time to develop basketball in the north westmeath/ Longford areas. The club was initially set up as an off shoot from the rathowen community games basketball scheme. At the time the closest basketball clubs available were Longford falcons and Athlone Basketball club.

Streete initially competed at senior mens and womens level and entered its first ever juvenile teams into the nort-east basketball league in 2007 at u12-u18 levels. Since then the clubs membership base has grown exponentially and now stands at 83 members.The  club have gone on to win numerous league titles as well as representing the north-east region at 3 all-ireland tournaments in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
